Terms and Conditions
By placing an order with Red Brick Roost, you agree to the following terms and conditions. It is also understood that upon ordering, you have read, understand and agree to all FAQ relevant to your order.
Hatching Eggs
*There is no guarantee on hatching eggs or hatch rates. Please understand that you are purchasing fertile eggs, not chicks. Hatching eggs are a gamble and it is assumed that anyone purchasing them understands this.
*There is no guarantee on shipping dates. We work through our list in order and will work with you in order to set a shipping date. However, as we are working with animals that may not always be on the schedule that we would like, we may have to change this date and will communicate this with you.
*There is a minimum of 6 eggs per order. These eggs must be of the same type. If you do not want 6 of the same breed, choose the rainbow mix.
*For large orders or orders involving multiple breeds, we reserve the right to split up these orders if necessary,​
Chicks
*There is a 50% deposit required on all chick orders with the remainder due at pick up. As we hatch to order and are setting these eggs specifically for you, this deposit is non-refundable. If for any reason we are unable to fulfill your complete order, we reserve the right to reschedule or split your hatch if necessary.
*For the sake of companionship, there is a minimum of 3 chicks per order. These do not have to be the same breed.
*All chicks must be picked up within 3 days of notification of them being ready. As we will notify you of your hatch date when eggs are set and send a reminder a week prior to hatch, any chicks left after 3 days without prior brooding arrangements made in advance, will become available to others with no refund.
Size of Orders
*We reserve the right to limit the size of orders, for reasons including but not limited to flock size, time of year and length of waitlist.
Timing of Orders
*As we are working with animals, we have the right to change order dates if necessary. This will be communicated with as much notice as possible and could be due to reasons such as but not limited to a slow down in laying, broody hens and inclement weather when shipping eggs.
*Please be prepared to receive your hatching eggs or chicks when they are ready. As we work through our waitlist in order, so that we can be fair to everyone, inability to do so may cause you to lose your place in line. ​​​
Refunds
*There are no refunds on chick deposits.
*For hatching egg orders cancelled more than 3 days prior to shipping, there will be a 75% refund issued. 25% of the total will be held back as an administrative fee. For hatching egg orders cancelled within 3 days of shipping, there will be no refund.
*There is no refund once eggs have been shipped.
*There is no refund or replacements for poor hatch rates.
*If we are unable to fill your order during the 2025 hatching season, a refund (or credit towards the following season if you prefer) WILL be issued.
*Exceptions to refunds and replacements will be on a case by case basis and subject to our discretion.
Right to Refuse Orders
*We are a small farm passionate about preservation breeding, our birds and responsible and ethical breeding practices. If at any time we feel uncomfortable or ill at ease, we have the right to refuse or cancel an order. Please know that this is not a decision that we will make lightly.
